Jesus Explained

Jesus Explained is a 7-week course designed to provide a clear and biblical understanding of the person and work of Jesus Christ.

Together, we will explore who Jesus is as both fully God and fully man—the eternal Son of God, the second Person of the Trinity, who took on human flesh through the Incarnation. We will examine how He experienced the full reality of human life, including emotion, physical weariness, temptation, and suffering, yet remained completely without sin. Because He is both God and man, Jesus alone is the perfect Mediator who reconciles a holy God with fallen humanity.

The course then focuses on Christ’s saving work. Students will discover how Jesus fulfilled God’s law through His perfect, sinless life before offering Himself as the atoning sacrifice for sin. His death on the cross satisfied God’s justice, making forgiveness and reconciliation with God available to all who place their faith in Him.

Finally, we will examine the significance of Christ’s resurrection, which demonstrated His victory over sin and death and secured the promise of eternal life for all who believe. We will also consider His ascension into heaven, where He now serves as our High Priest and Advocate, continually interceding for those who respond to His call through repentance toward God and faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.

By the end of this course, participants will have a deeper understanding of who Jesus is, what He accomplished through His life, death, resurrection, and ascension, and why He remains the only hope of salvation for the world.
